Faiz Ahmad Babor, proud son of Jaintia. Professor by profession.

Passion was social service. His vocal presence in the management committee of madrasas, schools and colleges in the area is known as Babor or Babor Sir, dear and respected by all quarters. Faiz Ahmad Babor is known as a struggling man in the movement for the rights of the people of Jaintia. Politically, he was a grassroot activist of Chhatra League. At this time he was the Deputy General Secretary of the Upazila Awami League. He was undergoing treatment at Noorjahan Hospital in the city after suffering a heart attack three days ago. Faiz Ahmed Babor was airlifted to Dhaka on Thursday afternoon for advanced treatment. At 10:30 pm, he left the love of millions of people and gave up his last breath.
